Kristy James is a well-rounded, experienced entertainer that has been performing since the age of 11. Growing up in Newcastle, Kristy began her love of country music playing at the Steel City Country music club every Tuesday night. At the age of 14 Kristy started her own business running school discos and playing any gig she could get. Once Kristy turned 18 she started gigging every weekend and hasn’t stopped for the past 10 years, under agents EAO and Whirlwind Entertainment Kristy has performed all over NSW as part of a duo, trio and band, Kristy has years of experience and has built a great following and loyal fan base. She has just finished working with Simon Johnson of Hillbilly Hut along with Glen Hannah and Mike Carr on her debut single “OVERDRIVE”, which will be launched on December 1st. Kristy’s debut film clip, recorded by Golden Guitar winner Glenn Wilson, will also be out with the single and will be released to CMC.
There will be a launch in her hometown of Newcastle this year as well as the Long Yard Hotel with her band in Tamworth, during the 2013 Festival, along with many radio interviews.
Kristy is booked for 9 shows during the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival, which includes Shopping Centre appearances, and is also booked for the Central Coast Music festival 2013 and in discussion with multiple other festivals.
