Australia’s Hillbilly Princess is back from Nashville and ready for Tamworth thanks to NRMA Business Motoring. Kirsty Lee Akers is a Golden Guitar, Toyota Star Maker & Telstra Road To Discovery winner and has chosen the DAG Sheep Station for her 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival show. Situated in Nundle, NSW, the unique Australian venue, an original historic woolshed, less than an hour’s drive from Tamworth is fast becoming a prominent festival venue.
“Kirsty Lee Akers & Friends” will centre on Kirsty’s internationally recognised Americana stylings, but will also showcase the talents of Tasha Amoroso and Jemma Nicole. Tasha, who reached the battle-rounds of TV’s ‘The Voice’ in 2014 lends a more modern country sound to the event. While after a chance meeting at The Americana Music Festival and Conference held in Nashville during September, Kirsty invited Jemma to bring her complimentary sound to our own premier festival.
Kirsty Lee Akers’ manager, Perrin Finlay-Brown says, ‘Kirsty is thrilled to play at the most unique festival venue. The DAG has distinctive charm, and the synergy between the venue and the artists is perfect. The way John Krsulja has built-up The DAG as a leading festival venue is just outstanding.”
John Krsulja couldn’t be happier with the line-up for ‘Country At The Dag – 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival’, “We are really looking forward to having Kirsty, Tasha and Jemma at the DAG in January. It’s an intimate show, which is perfect for this intimate venue, the artists love playing here and the fans love being up close and personal with the acts.”
