Western Australian singer-songwriter, Tammy London returns with ‘Everything’, an original, self-penned track. Written while Tammy was elbow-deep in nappies and sleepless nights, the mum of four remembers: “I would look over at my husband and think I don’t want to be doing this with anyone else. It’s a song about lasting the distance and doing life with your person. There are so many songs out there about when you first fall in love and but not too many about long-term relationships. I wanted to honour that, while capturing the nostalgia of reminiscing and what it used to be like but also appreciating how you learn to grow and evolve with one another.”
‘Everything’ follows on from two singles, released last year… ‘Mustang’ and ‘Radio’. Both were recorded with Nash Chambers remotely, during Covid. This new single was recorded with James Newhouse at Lamb Chop Records, award-winning producer and engineer who frequently collaborates with the John Butler Trio, The Waifs and Birds of Tokyo.
After discovering the indie artist was named after Tammy Wynette, it comes as no surprise that she grew up being force-fed country music and now spends her days crafting her own solo music (when mum duties allow) but also her side project ‘The Red Tails’ with her husband Simon and Vikki Thorn from The Waifs. Currently based in Albany, WA, Tammy also lived in Sweden for a year to complete a degree in Anthropology and History.
