“Love The Hard Way” the debut album from Sydney based trio Georgia Fall, Mellissa Baker (vocals/guitar), Paul Bain (drums) and James Bernauer (vocals/guitar) was officially launched today during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The SSS BBQ Barn in Tamworth was filled with fans and invited guests from country music media and the industry as Georgia Fall treated them to a 45 min set of material from “Love The Hard Way”. The album was produced by Golden Guitar nominee Sean Rudd, features songs co-written by ARIA nominated Lyn Bowtell and was mastered by 2013 Grammy award-winner (Gotye) William Bowden. The album title is a reference to a song lyric and sums up the overall tone of the album, being that love can be a complex part of life.
It was a massive day for Georgia Fall with announcements that both NRMA BusinessWise and QANTAS would be supporting the band in 2014. NRMA BusinessWise will be sponsoring the band’s upcoming tour, while QANTAS will be adding songs from the new album to its international in-flight entertainment channel “Big Country”.

Contrary to popular belief, no one in the band is named Georgia; the trio simply thought it had a great ring to it. Lead vocalist Mellissa, a CMAA Academy Of Country Music graduate grew up in Charters Towers, QLD and was a regular at the state’s country music festivals, whilst drummer Paul grew up in Brisbane and is nationally endorsed by DW Drums and James, one of Sydney’s hottest guitarists, has spent his life studying music and is a graduate of the UNE with a Bachelor of Pop Music and Performance. The trio was formed in Sydney, where they now all reside.
