Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes’ album “Black Coffee” nominated in the Alt Country Album Of The Year category for the 2014 CMAA Country Music Awards Of Australia

The honours keep rolling in for Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes, thanks to their new album “Black Coffee”.
On Tuesday it was announced that the album is a Golden Guitar Finalist for Alternative Country Album of the Year.
The announcement follows “Black Coffee’s” six week unbroken run in the official ARIA Charts since its release on September 27th, including a #1 debut on the ARIA Hitseekers Chart (across all genres).
“We’re really excited to be finalists” says Lachlan, “Australian country music means a lot to us – we want it to have a healthy and vibrant future, and we’re thrilled to see that the CMAA and the judges see alt-country as part of that future”.
Since emerging on the scene with “Ballad Of A Young Married Man” in 2009, Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes have built an impressive reputation and fanbase as frontrunners of the alt-country movement. 2012’s “Shadow of the Gun” received unanimous praise from the critics, gaining four and five star reviews across the board and reaching fans both inside and outside of the country music world.
Since then Bryan has toured extensively with the band, as well as with fellow 2014 Golden Guitar nominees Aleyce Simmonds (Best Female Artist) and Luke O’Shea (2 nominations). He has supported international heavyweights including Steve Earle, John Hiatt, Shawn Colvin and Paul Thorn and appeared on the main stages of festivals from the Gympie Muster to the star-studded Bluesfest.
“I’d be on the road every day of the year” says Lachlan, “bringing this kind of country music to the people face to face is the only way to do it – it’s my life’s work”.
The early reviews for Black Coffee” have been flattering to say the least! Country HQ calls the record “an exceptional album”, before going on to describe Bryan’s songwriting as “clearly on a par with the likes of Paul Kelly, Nick Cave, Guy Clark and Tom Rush”. JB HiFi’s Stack Magazine calls Bryan “a truly gifted talent” before praising the “stellar musicianship” and awarding the album 4 stars.

To celebrate the nomination, Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes are streaming the album for FREE to the general public for a limited time. Visit http://lachlanbryan.bandcamp.com to hear the entire record!
