New single, ‘Rust & Bones’ has already been a success for Gretta Ziller, gaining a place in the finals of the “Americana” category of both the 2014 Unsigned Only Songwriting Competition and the International Songwriting Competition. This track is the 4th single to be released from Gretta’s debut EP “Hell’s Half Acre” produced by Golden Guitar winning producer Matt Fell at Love Hz Studio, Sydney.
This latest single is serviced to radiotoday, Thursday August 13th and is available through Play MPE. ‘Rust & Bones’ – a murder ballad, is a tale of regret, “in a flash as quick as a gun” lives are changed and the ramifications and anguish that follow the narrator.
Gretta made a grand entrance at the 2011 Country Music Association Of Australia’s College of Country Music graduation concert playing the Bagpipes! Her party trick (and past profession) caused quite the noise and was an unusual introduction to the Australian country music family. Since graduation Gretta has gone on to prove she’s not just a one trick pony by earning a place in the final of the 2013 Telstra Road To Discovery and the 2013 Tamworth Songwriters Association/APRA New Songwriter Of The Year. Most recently Gretta was a Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist during the 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
