Rockhampton songbirds, Innocent Eve will launch their debut album “Temporary Balms” at the ‘Glenmore Homestead’ – a historic property located on the banks of the Fitzroy River just north of Rockhampton – on Friday February 27th. The new CD was recorded last year at TommiRock Studios in Newcastle, NSW by the ARIA-charting producer Joel Black.
The album’s title (also an album track) is about the vices or ‘temporary’ fixes we apply to certain situations even though we know they’re not best for us or permanent solutions, like drinking away the pain. Second single, ‘Into The Light’ was written by the girls’ collective pen and will go to radio in early March.
Singer-songwriter sisters, Rachel and Rebecca, hail from a cattle property near the small town of Wowan in Central Queensland. Reminiscent of legendary sister acts The Dixie Chicks and Wilson Phillips, Innocent Eve perform perfect harmonies. This sister act has performed at some of the country’s most iconic music festivals and events including Urban Country, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Boyne Valley Country Music Campout and Cruisin’ Country 2, 3 and 4. First stop for Innocent Eve in 2015 was The Tamworth Country Music Festival before their regional tour of NSW.
The girls will now embark on a nine month tour starting with the album launch on February 27th. The $20 album launch ticket will not only gain you entry into the live performance of all album tracks, but canapés, a glass of champagne, and a signed copy of the CD & a drink cooler.
